Love Shack Over the last two or three days we have been deluged by visitors keen to talk about the Love Shack issue that is affecting Johns Creek. Over a thousand people have voted in our poll and we have been deluged by emails from both sides.
It seems that the best thing to do is provide a place where the people who are affected - the people of Johns Creek - can discuss the controversy. So we've set up a forum that you can visit here.
JohnsCreek.info is neither pro-Love Shack nor anti-Love Shack, but we do hope to provide an intelligent public forum for discussion about this controversial topic.

Love Shack in Johns Creek Johns Creek is still attempting to shut down a 10,000-square-foot store selling adult products inside the city limits.
The fight has been going on for about two weeks, since John Cornetta opened the store called the "Love Shack" without a business license.
A judge told Cornetta, two weeks ago, that he had to keep the adult inventory content level of his story below 25 percent. On Wednesday, a judge found Cornetta still had too many sex toys and adult videos on the shelves, and fined him $14,000 -- $1,000 for every day the store had been open.
Cornetta said the fine -- $14,000 -- is only money, and he wanted people to know he will fight for what he said he believes is right.
Cornetta remained defiant and said he had no plans to move his store outside of Johns Creek. |
Johns Creek Restaurants Johns Creek city officials have agreed to make it easier to obtain a liqour license. Originally, the city insisted that restaurants would need to: - obtain a property survey in order prove that they weren't too close to schools, churches or other protected places
- a background check to ensure no felons were providing alcohol
- pay for advertising their license applications.
Restaurant owners complained these measures were excessive and expensive. The background checks will stay, but the advertising fees will be reduced and the survey criteria will be based on existing Fulton County standards. |
